Calliope comes to us as an owner surrender. She is a very very sweet girl who just wants love. She can be a little shy at first but it doesn’t take her long to warm up to her people. With this shyness, she was resource guarding for almost her first week in her foster home but once she settled in we haven’t had any issues with that and she has become absolute best friends with the other pup in the home. Her foster mom says she acts like a puppy and is very playful. She plays with her foster sister almost non stop. Calliope’s ideal home will have lots and lots of toys. She will bring her toys in her crate one by one through out the day until they are all in there when it’s time for bed. She is super sweet and gentle and walks well on a leash and will come when called. She’s not a door dasher but might squeeze past you if multiple dogs are going on a walk so she can make sure she isn’t left behind from the fun! Calliope is not potty trained but we think she will pick up on it super quickly with consistency. She still has puppy energy and can be caught chewing furniture or earning the tittle of “sock thief” rather quickly. Her adopter will need patience as Calliope is still learning manners and basic training. And also because she takes about a week to settle in and be comfortable so what you see will not be what you get with her. She is about 30 lbs and fully vaccinated.
