Chett came to us as an owner surrender after they were lied to about his behavior. After they got him in their care they did their best with him but thought a rescue was a better place for him. We are so appreciative that they did what was best for our Chetter boy. Chett is looking for a family that has a very calm and quiet home. His adopters must have breed experience and understand that it may take months for his personality to come through. He needs someone who will be patient and let Chett do things when he is comfortable. He would love another calm dog in the home for him to look to for guidance and show him how to dog. He doesn’t need any kids in the home as that will just stress him out more. He would prefer his family be home more often than not, as even though he is crate trained he really needs as much socialization as he can get. Please understand why we are being so picky and conditional about his adopters. He’s such a special boy who just started to trust his foster parents and ask to snuggle in bed. We want to find an adoptive home for him sooner than later so he doesn’t get too attached to his fosters only to be ripped out of yet another home. Chett doesn’t like walks and cannot be in an apartment. Chett needs consistency, patience, and a LOT of TLC.
