We were alerted about Krieger late one night. He was sitting in a pool of his own blood in a shelter on the south Texas border. No one else was stepping up so we stepped in because we couldnt leave him behind. By some miracle we arranged transport 8 hours north that weekend to DFW. The bleeding was coming from his rear end. The second he got into our care we took him to the emergency vet. He had tumors on his rectum that had burst. Krieger just recently had surgery to remove the tumors. We got the pathology report back and Krieger does not have cancer. They do not expect the tumors to grow back. Krieger is now looking for a forever home!! He loves other dogs and would be fine with cats.
