Maverick is a 7-year-old sweetheart with the soul of a wise sage and the energy of a young pup. This calm and affectionate boy is ready to leave his past behind and step into a life filled with love and security. Maverick’s gentle, almost submissive demeanor tells us he’s been through tough times, but his resilience shines in his desire to please and connect with his people.  
 
Having lived his life outdoors, Maverick is learning the ropes of indoor living. His foster is helping him with house manners, including improving his marking instincts. He’s catching on quickly and is eager to make his humans proud!  Outside is definitely his happy place so Maverick maybe more suited to some outdoor space.
 
Maverick adores his walks and is fantastic on a leash—always by your side. He’s a dream companion for car rides, too! While he’s been polite with other dogs (especially females), he’s still learning how to interact and play. Right now, he’s more focused on settling in and finding his place in the world.  
 
At night, Maverick sleeps peacefully in his crate without a sound. His idea of a perfect day? Snuggles galore, plenty of attention, and a few leisurely strolls with his favorite person.
