Millie comes to us as an owner surrender. This poor girl has been put through the ringer. She has been attacked by dogs so many times and her wounds were never treated. Well she is now healed and healthy and ready for adoption.
We’ve learned so much about this sweet sweet soul in the time we’ve had her. She is very shy in front of other dogs, to the point that she won’t go potty in front of them. Being attacked by a dog more than once can cause this. She’s not dog aggressive by any means but really enjoys her independence from other dogs. She doesn’t play, and would not enjoy adventures outside of the comfort of her own home so if you’re looking for a camping buddy or play mate for your current pup, Millie is not the dog for you.
Millie is very reserved and takes a lot of time to warm up. She will need a patient adopter that has a lot of “good girl”s to give! Millie doesn’t care about cats, and really doesn’t care about other dogs. She should not be with kids under 10 years. Millie prefers female humans and will likely bond closer to a female than a male. She is not house broken but she’s working on it, she’s maybe half way there. She’s fine in her crate and loves a night in.
