Wesson comes to us as an owner surrender after he just wasnt happy without his own yard. Wesson is great with dogs and kids and has no problem co existing with them, however he will not initiate play or build a close relationship with another dog, so he shouldn’t be adopted for a playmate for a current pup in the residence. He is tolerant of kids, however he will not bond with a child and therefore might hurt some feelings, so he shouldn’t be adopted as a companion for a child. Wesson is crate trained, house broken, trustworthy, gentle, and just a happy boy. He loves snuggles and would prefer to sleep in bed with you or spend the night in on the couch with a good movie. His ideal home would be a couple or individual with no kids and low key dogs who are home bodies and just want to stay in. Wesson would be wonderful at coffee shops or restaurants and really truly just wants to go wherever his people go. He has excellent leash manners and doesn’t bark. He just wants to be with his person all the time. If you think you can be a companion for Wesson, apply to bring him home now! Please don’t apply for Wesson because he’s cute and small. He has a lot of particular needs that have to be met!

***Recently Wesson underwent a neuter and dental. Upon examination it was noted that he has severe bone loss in his upper and lower jaw. Wesson needed 12 teeth removed immediately. He has 10 teeth remaining and within the next 2-3 years the last ten teeth will need to be removed AT THE ADOPTERS EXPENSE! We are disclosing this now so there are no surprises. We will be adding an addendum to his adoption contract REQUIRING proof that this gets done. Before you apply for him please consider the cost of this procedure!!! Dentals are very expensive when you include 10 extractions!!!  Until that next surgery he will need regular teeth brushing and excellent oral care so please be prepared to add this to your daily routine.
