VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

NTASR welcomes all volunteers! We need help in many areas of rescue. All minors must have a parent or guardian present at the time of volunteering. We are happy to help fulfill volunteer hour requirements however we do not offer internships or community service.

My services to NTASR are provided strictly in a voluntary capacity as a Volunteer, and without any express or implied promise of salary, compensation, or other payment of any kind whatsoever.

I will familiarize myself and comply with NTASR's policies and procedures applicable to Volunteers. I will adhere to all NTASR policies and procedures and understand that failure to do so may result in my termination as a Volunteer.

I fully understand that NTASR expects high standards of moral and ethical treatment of the animals under its care. I also understand that NTASR expects respectful treatment of NTASR clients, partners, and other Volunteers. I agree to abide by these standards in my capacity as a Volunteer.

I will not represent NTASR outside my immediate Volunteer capacity. I understand that NTASR has designated staff to represent NTASR to any media organizations.

I acknowledge and confirm that as a Volunteer I may acquire information on the organization, its volunteers, and about certain matters and things which are of a confidential nature and that such information is the exclusive property of the organization and will remain in the strictest confidence.

I understand that public relations is an important part of a Volunteer's activities on behalf of NTASR and hereby authorize NTASR to use any photographs of me in its possession for public relations purposes.

I have current medical insurance coverage and agree to be responsible for any medical care that I must seek as a result of my volunteer service at NTASR.

I understand the behavior of animals is sometimes unpredictable and some animals are capable of inflicting disease, serious personal injury, death or extensive property damage. I understand that my volunteer activities on behalf of NTASR may place me in a hazardous situation and could result in injury to me or my personal property. I agree to indemnify, defend and hold NTASR, and its agents, officers, directors, and employees free and harmless from all liability arising out of any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, action, judgments of every kind and description that may occur to or be suffered by me by reason of activities arising out of this Agreement.

I have current automobile insurance coverage and agree to be responsible for any damage that my vehicle incurs as a result of my volunteer service at NTASR.

I verify that all information provided on this application is true. Any misrepresentation or omission of facts may result in denial of a volunteer opportunity or dismissal from the volunteer program. By signing below, I accept a position as a Volunteer for North Texas Australian Shepherd Rescue and understand and agree to the above Volunteer Agreement.

Your Signature

If the applicant is a minor, we require parent/guardian permission. Parent/guardian must be present while a minor is volunteering.

I am a minor and I require my parent/guardian's permission.

I hereby give my permission for my child to serve as a volunteer at NTASR. I understand that he/she will be provided with instructions necessary for the safe and responsible performance of his/her duties and will be under the supervision and direction of NTASR.
