Meet Alvin

Pulled from a local shelter by NTASR, Alvin came to rescue heartworm positive — but thanks to loving care and successful treatment, he is now completely heartworm negative and ready for his forever home! At about 7½ years young, Alvin is the definition of an easy-going gentleman.
He is:

• ✔️ Leash trained
• ✔️ Polite indoor housemate
• ✔️ Fully house trained
 
He sleeps soundly through the night and won’t make a peep until morning. The only “rule” he might gently bend? He believes couches were designed specifically for sharing with his people — and honestly, he’s right.

Alvin is happiest simply being near you. He’ll lovingly press his gentle head into your hand for rubs, offer soft kisses, then wander off to his bed for a cozy nap.
His favorite moments in life are:

• Mealtime (he takes this very seriously)
• Treat time
• Quiet petting sessions

And when he gets excited? He does the most adorable little prance that will absolutely steal your heart. Alvin gets along well with other dogs and is wonderfully unbothered by them. He’s not much for play — he’s more of a “you do you, I’ll be over here relaxing” kind of guy. Calm, steady, and affectionate, he brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes.
