Meet Nugget AKA Big Daddy — a playful, snuggly Aussie boy with a heart full of love 🐶💛 Nugget came to NTASR as a breeder surrender and has been absolutely thriving in foster care. He walks on leash, is crate trained, fully potty trained, and does great with other dogs — an all-around outstanding pup! Nugget truly shines with people he knows and trusts.

Watching him come out of his shell has been such a joy, especially with the help of his older Aussie foster sibling. The two have become closely bonded — playing together, exploring the backyard, and curling up for cozy snuggles. Having a confident dog buddy has helped Nugget build confidence and feel more comfortable in the world around him.
 
Nugget is food-motivated (which makes training fun and easy!), playful, and loves to snuggle once he feels safe. He can sometimes feel intimidated by new people, especially men, but with slow and gentle introductions, he warms up beautifully and continues gaining confidence every day.

Nugget is the perfect example of how patience, love, and consistency can help a dog truly blossom. In the right home — ideally with another friendly dog and a patient family — he’s going to be an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion.
