Bishop (of the Funky Bunch)

Meet Miss Bishop!

She's one of the funky bunch from momma, Ginny June. Ginny and her tiny corgi mix potatoes were found in South Dallas, after the local shelter refused them, NTASR was called. We picked them all up, sameday.

Bishop is the happiest little Corgi mix puppy you'll ever meet. She is so lovable, and you just want to hold her all day. Every day is the best day ever for Bishop, and every person she meets is her new best friend. She is around 9 pounds and will probably be around 20–23 pounds when she grows up. She is playful, fun, social, and incredibly loving.

To say Bishop loves to play would be an understatement. Playtime is her favorite thing in the world, possibly even more important than food. She's such a happy girl that she'll often leave her food bowl halfway through breakfast because she'd rather chase her brother around the yard, sprint in circles, zoom around, or chase a ball. She loves running in circles with her brother, playing with squeaky toys, and finding little twigs and leaves outside. Did I mention she loves to play?

When she's not zooming around, Bishop transforms into the sweetest little cuddle bug, although you better enjoy it while it lasts because she may suddenly decide it's time to go play again. She loves being held, loves using her humans as a jungle gym, and eventually settles into your lap when she's finally worn herself out. She gives the sweetest little puppy kisses. If she thinks you've stopped petting her, she'll simply flop onto her back and patiently wait for the belly rubs.

Bishop doesn't just wag her tail when she's happy; she wags her entire body and sometimes jumps straight into the air with excitement. She greets everyone like they are her favorite person in the whole world.

She loves being around people, but she's not a Velcro puppy. Once she's checked in with her humans, she's perfectly happy to go play with a squeaky toy, chase her brother, or lay in the living room where she can keep an eye on everyone. Even when she's doing her own thing, she likes knowing her people are nearby.

Bishop is picking things up quickly. She is learning to sit, doing great with potty training, and has already figured out that going to the back door is how she tells you she needs to go outside. She is making it through the entire night without accidents and will wake her foster family when she needs to go potty.

Bishop would thrive with a somewhat active family or another playful dog. She has a playful, non-dominant personality and gets along with everyone she meets. She does like to know where her people are. When it's finally time for a nap, she will put her self to bed nearby or go in the crate.
