Callum — a name of Scottish origin meaning “dove” — represents peace, gentleness, and loyalty, which describes this sweet boy perfectly. 🖤
Callum wandered onto a family’s country property where they already had a dog of their own. Although he didn’t belong to them, they made sure he was safe, cared for, and protected while they searched for his owners and waited for NTASR to step in and help. Despite every effort, no one ever came forward for him.
From the beginning, it was obvious Callum had once been someone’s beloved companion. He was already neutered, house trained, crate trained, wonderful with kids, and great with other dogs. More than anything, he is a true Velcro dog — happiest close to his people and quietly following you from room to room. Honestly, it’s hard to imagine this boy ever willingly leaving someone he loved.
Callum has a calm, gentle personality and settles beautifully into home life. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has an easygoing nature that makes him such a joy to foster. One thing he’s still working through is car rides. They make him a little nervous at first, and he may shake from anxiety, but he rides quietly, never gets sick, and settles down with reassurance and time.
Callum doesn’t ask for much — just love, safety, and someone to stay beside forever. After all he’s been through, we’d love to see this loyal boy finally find the home he deserves.
