Meet Carrots 🥕✨
6 months old | Standard Australian Shepherd | Deaf | Certified Comeback QueenCarrots’ story didn’t start easy — but wow, is her glow-up one for the books.
She and her sister Peas were found in a horse barn, both deaf and trying to figure out the world on their own. Carrots had also suffered a serious hip injury (likely from an encounter with a horse or tractor), but she never let that dim her spirit.
Since coming to rescue, Carrots has had FHO surgery and physical therapy — and today? She is absolutely THRIVING. She walks beautifully on leash, gets around with ease, and you’d truly never guess she was once injured. This girl is all resilience, all heart, and all puppy joy.
Carrots may be deaf, but she doesn’t miss a beat. She’s learning to navigate life through visual cues, routine, and connection — and like many deaf dogs, she’s incredibly intuitive and in tune with her people.
She’s also:
✨ Sweet, gentle, and affectionate
✨ Playful and full of puppy curiosity
✨ Great with cats (yes, really!)
✨ Ready to soak up love and give it right backCarrots is the kind of dog who makes you pause and say, “How is she this happy after everything?” She doesn’t dwell on the past — she’s too busy living in the moment, chasing joy wherever she can find it.
She would thrive in a home ready to continue her journey, embrace her unique way of experiencing the world, and celebrate just how special she is.
From barn to comeback queen — Carrots is ready for her forever home. 🐾🥕
