Meet Cash
Cash is a 5-year-old Corgi whose current weight can best be described as "more to love."
At approximately 50 pounds, Cash is built less like a traditional Corgi and more like a very determined ottoman with legs. He arrived in rescue after losing the person he loved most. Cash belonged to his owner's wife, and when she passed away, life changed dramatically for everyone involved. Unfortunately, Cash and the surviving husband never quite saw eye to eye, leading to the difficult decision to find Cash a new home.
Despite the upheaval, Cash has settled into rescue with all the confidence of a dog who has never once questioned whether he deserves a second helping of dinner.
His hobbies include supervising meal preparation, strategically positioning himself anywhere snacks might appear, and waddling through life with the self-assurance of a dog who believes fitness is largely a social construct.
Cash has recently started his wellness journey, though he would like everyone to know he strongly disagrees with the concept of portion control. While the pounds may not be melting off overnight, his charm certainly is. It's impossible not to smile when this chunky little guy trots into a room.
Underneath the extra fluff is a sweet dog looking for a fresh start. Cash is learning that change doesn't have to be scary and that there are still plenty of good days ahead. What he needs now is a family willing to continue helping him reach a healthier weight while loving him every step of the way.
Cash may not be ready for a marathon anytime soon, but he's absolutely ready to find his forever home.
Bonus points if you're willing to share the couch. Cash assumes that's included.
