Meet Falcore — aka Arlo 🤍
Yes, like The Good Dinosaur. And honestly? The name fits. Because this boy is pure heart.
Falcore (lovingly renamed Arlo) may have started his story on the streets of Dallas, but you would never know it. From day one in rescue he has been nothing but confident struts, happy nub wags, and full-body wiggles for his favorite humans.
He doesn’t carry his past. He just carries love.
The Medical Glow-Up 🦴✨
Arlo came to us with old injuries — a previously broken pelvis and femur, likely from being hit by a car. Our ortho confirmed they’re fully healed, and he shows no ongoing pain. Just a little morning stiffness (same, sir).
And does it slow him down? Absolutely not.
He runs.
He plays.
He wrestles his Great Dane foster brother.
He keeps up with his Chihuahua foster sister.
He joyfully exists with his 3-year-old human foster sibling. He puts himself out there in the happiest, most wholehearted way.
Personality: Certified Sweet Boy™
When playtime winds down, Arlo becomes your shadow. Room to room. Couch to kitchen. He’ll curl up beside you or climb right into your lap like, “Yes hello I live here now.”
He adores kids — truly. He’s been gentle and patient with toddlers to elementary-aged kiddos and has never attempted to herd them. Even when little hands get grabby, he just sits there like the tolerant king he is.
He is:
• Resilient
• Affectionate
• Dog-social (very much a dog’s dog)
• Laid-back but playful
• Extremely ready to belong to someone
A Few Things We’re Working On
He’s still polishing up leash skills.
He will door-bolt if given the chance — and immediately go look for neighborhood friends (social butterfly behavior).
He cries in his kennel if he knows you’re nearby. He prefers togetherness.
The good news?
✔ Not destructive
✔ No furniture chewing
✔ Minimal accidents
✔ Does great with a doggy door
✔ No food guarding
✔ More grazer than gobbler
✔ Happy with a bone and good companyDental is pending (a few broken teeth from his past), and neuter is expected to be straightforward. His coat is regrowing beautifully after old flea irritation — he’s truly in his comeback era.
His Ideal Home
Arlo would thrive in:
• A family with kids
• A home with another playful dog
• Paw-rents who want a loyal little shadow
• Or even a calm, loving adult home looking for a steady companionHe is not fragile.
He is not damaged.
He is healed, joyful, and so incredibly ready.
Falcore — Arlo — whatever name you call him, he’s ready for the chapter where he never has to wonder if he belongs again. 🤍🐾
