Meet Fig Tree š±
If āI didnāt do it... but I absolutely would have if youād given me five more secondsā was a puppy.
Meet Fig Tree, a 14-week-old, 23-pound Aussie mix with a big personality, a whole lot of energy, and the sweetest face youāll ever have a hard time saying no to.
Fig is part of the Tree Litter, who came to NTASR after being born at the Collin County shelter to their mama, Olive. They were just 3 days old when we got them into rescue, so Fig has been surrounded by love, care, and plenty of puppy shenanigans from the very beginning.
And this boy is THRIVING.
Fig is confident, playful, smart, and absolutely loves having room to run, explore, and get his zoomies out. He loves other dogs, adores kids, and is always ready to find someone willing to join his latest adventure.
He's also starting to show off those natural herding instincts. Translation: sometimes the other dogs are apparently his employees and he has thoughts about where everyone should be. š
He's making fantastic progress with crate training and potty training, comes when called, is learning sit, and is just beginning to figure out this whole leash thing.
Fig has plenty of puppy energy, so his ideal family will be ready to keep both his brain and body busy. Think training, adventures, enrichment, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to be a puppy.
And those eyes?
Absolutely suspicious.
They're the kind of eyes that could convince you the shoe chewed itself.
Fig is smart, eager to learn, goofy, confident, and full of potential. With a family ready to keep teaching him and help him grow into the incredible dog he's clearly becoming, this handsome little guy is going to be something pretty special.
Basically, Fig Tree is part adventure buddy, part future overachiever, and part tiny chaos coordinator.
