Meet Fig Tree 🌱
If "I didn't do it... but I would've if I'd had five more seconds" was a puppy.
Meet Fig Tree, a 14-pound professional mischief manager with the sweetest little face you've ever seen. Born in May 2026, Fig is part of the Tree Litter, who came to NTASR when he and his siblings were just 3 days old after being born at the Collin County shelter to their mom, Olive. Safe to say, he's been surrounded by love from the very beginning.
Fig is equal parts shy sweetheart and tiny chaos coordinator.
When he first meets new people or finds himself in a new environment, he's a little cautious. He's the kind of puppy who likes to observe before diving in. But once he decides you're his person? Congratulations. You now have a fluffy little shadow who will happily trail behind you wherever you go.
And then... the gremlin mode activates.
Fig always has that look on his face like he's about to recruit another puppy into a very questionable decision. Wrestling match? Count him in. Zoomies through the yard? Absolutely. Convincing one of the big dogs that today is the perfect day for nonsense? That's his specialty.
He's basically the friend who says, "It'll be funny, trust me."
Even with all that puppy energy, Fig has a soft heart. He's a little more sensitive than his siblings and can startle easily, so he's looking for a family that will cheer him on while helping him build confidence. Every day he's getting a little braver, a little bolder, and a little more convinced that the world is a pretty fun place.
He's also making great progress with puppy pad training and is learning all the important puppy life skills.
But let's talk about those eyes.
They're the kind of eyes that could absolutely convince you the shoe chewed itself. The kind that make you forgive literally everything before you even remember what happened. Fig absolutely knows the power he holds, and honestly... we'd probably use it too.
