Oh Hunter. This beautiful boy deserves all the good the world has to offer.  He is a sweet and special senior that is very very shy and will need a patient adopter. We were told he was attacked through the fence and that is why his face is messed up, but our vet is 100% certain it is a double cleft. Was he probably attacked at some point? Yes. Could it have made the appearance worse? Yes. But he is now safe in our rescue and getting the care he needs. Our vet said he still has the membrane in his mouth preventing his cleft form opening into his nose, so for now, there is nothing we are going to do about his face. He can eat and drink and sleep normally as he has been this way his whole life. He is great with other dogs and doesnt mind kids. Cats are probably a no go for him for now. Hunter deserves such a loving and kind home that will be patient with him and treat him right. We know its going to be hard for this senior with a funny face to find his forever but we are determined that its out there!
