Meet Kaia 🩵
12 pounds of puppy potential, curiosity, and just the right amount of chaos.
Kaia came to NTASR after being picked up as a stray, and she was WAY too young to be sitting in a shelter. Puppies have developing immune systems and are especially vulnerable to illness in a shelter environment, so we knew this little girl needed out.
Fast forward a bit, and Kaia is thriving. 🥹
Born in May 2026, she's wrapped up her puppy vaccines and is officially ready for her forever home!
Kaia is smart, curious, affectionate, and picking up training really quickly. She's showing us all kinds of wonderful potential, and with the right family continuing her training and socialization, we think she's going to grow into one pretty fantastic dog.
Of course... she is still a puppy.
So yes, she's learning commands and impressing everyone with her brain one minute, and then zooming around the house like she just drank three Red Bulls the next. 😂
She's currently 12 pounds and still growing, so exactly how big this little Aussie mix will ultimately be is part of the fun.
Kaia is ready for puppy classes, adventures, new experiences, lots of naps, and most importantly, her people.
She's done her time waiting.
Now she just needs a family to grow up with. 🩵🐾
