After narrowly escaping the EU list at Collin County Animal Shelter, Lady Washington and two other Aussie friends made their way to NTASR—and this little gal is quickly learning that life is pretty awesome when it includes soft beds, snacks, and someone to follow around.

Lady Washington has arrived, and she would like everyone to know that the bed is her kingdom.

This 23-pound Mini Aussie is about 1.5 years old and quite possibly one of the smartest dogs we've ever met. Clever, curious, and observant, she loves exploring once she feels safe... but her true calling is being cozy.
 
Her favorite activities include cuddling with her person or dog friends, playing with her foster brothers (on the bed or couch, naturally), belly scratches, and anything bacon flavored.
Hiking enthusiast? Absolutely not.
Professional couch potato with excellent taste? Absolutely.

New people and unfamiliar sounds can make Lady Washington a little skittish, but once she chooses you, you're in. She's affectionate, gentle, protective, and deeply loyal. Basically, she will quietly decide you're her person and then never look back.

She's altered/fully vetted, crate trained, walks on leash, and is good with kids and dogs. She does have some resource guarding that her forever family will need to understand and manage thoughtfully.

Lady Washington isn't looking for an adventure junkie.
