Meet Lemon 🍋
Lemon is a 7-month-old bundle of sweetness with the softest heart and the snuggliest personality. At the end of the day, her favorite place in the world is curled up in someone’s lap watching TV and soaking up belly rubs.
This affectionate little girl currently lives with kids (ages 2, 7, and 10) and does very well with them. Loud noises or sudden movements can startle her sometimes, but she happily accepts all the cuddles and attention they’re willing to give.
Lemon also gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She shares her foster home with a Standard Aussie, a Corgi, and a Westie, and she especially loves snuggling up with the Corgi. While bigger dogs can make her a little unsure at first, she warms up quickly and enjoys being part of the pack.
She walks nicely on leash and loves leisurely sniffing adventures. Her herding instincts do kick in sometimes — cats and bunnies are very interesting to her — but she’s otherwise a great walking companion.
Like any puppy, Lemon has her playful moments. She enjoys games of fetch in the house, gets the occasional zoomies, and may sneak off with a toy that technically belongs to the humans. Luckily she’s very easy to redirect and happily trades for a chew toy.
Lemon is crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps through the night in her crate. She has adjusted beautifully to going potty outside after previously being trained on a litter box, and she’s doing great learning the routine.
When Lemon first arrived she was very underweight, but she’s already gaining healthy weight and continuing to blossom in her foster home.
She’s a gentle, loving puppy who just wants to be close to her people. With her affectionate personality and playful spirit, Lemon is the kind of dog who quickly becomes the heart of the home.
