Meet Major 🐾
 
Major is exactly what his name suggests—a big personality packed into a handsome 45-pound package. At around 1.5 years old, he’s smart, active, and ready to be someone’s full-time adventure buddy.
 
Major came to rescue with a strong training foundation and a reputation for being very intelligent—and that absolutely holds true. He’s the kind of dog who thrives when he has structure, direction, and a person who enjoys working with him. If you’ve ever said, “I want a dog I can do things with,” Major is your guy.
 
He’s currently living in a foster home with older kids and has done well there, but when it comes to other dogs, Major’s enthusiasm can be… a lot. He tends to come on strong and gets very “in your face,” which can overwhelm other pups. Because of that, he would do best as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the attention and not have to share his space.
 
Major isn’t a “set it and forget it” kind of dog—he’s a “let’s go, what’s next?” kind of dog. He’ll thrive with an active home that understands working breeds or high-drive dogs and is excited to continue building on the training he already has.
 
Major’s ideal home:
• Active lifestyle (walks, hikes, training, enrichment)
• Older kids or adults
• No other dogs (he wants to be your one and only)
• Someone who appreciates a smart, driven dog
 
After over a year of waiting, Major is more than ready for his person to find him. In the right home, with the right guidance, he has all the potential to be an incredible companion.
