Meet Marsalis 🧡
If sunshine had four legs, floppy ears, and a Corgi butt... it would probably be Marsalis.
 
Marsalis is a 12-pound Corgi mix and one of the Funky Bunch, the little crew who came into NTASR with their mama, Ginny June, after they were picked up in South Dallas. Mom was raising her babies in a tough situation, so we brought the whole family into rescue. Now the Funky Bunch is growing up, and it's time for these little guys to find their forever people.
 
Marsalis is basically permanently smiling. We don't know if he's actually chasing rainbows and sunshine, but he certainly looks like he is.
He's a little shy when he first meets you, but once you've earned his trust? Congratulations. You have a new best friend.
 
Marsalis loves to PLAY. He wrestles hard with his sisters, holds his own in tug-of-war, and firmly believes that wherever his sisters are is exactly where he needs to be. He's also pretty good at competing for attention because, naturally, everyone should be paying attention to Marsalis.
 
He's good with other dogs, crate trained, and doing well with puppy pads. He's also highly food motivated, which means his training career is looking very promising. He's usually the first one finished with dinner, because apparently he has places to be.
 
Marsalis would love a family ready for all the fun of raising a puppy: training, adventures, playtime, and plenty of love as he grows into his big-dog personality.
 
He's goofy. He's affectionate. He's curious. He's cuddly.
And that smile?
