✨ Meet Mimi ✨
20 lbs | Senior Sweetheart | Fully Vetted | Crate Trained
Some dogs spend their whole lives waiting for the easy days.
For Mimi, those days are finally here.
Mimi came to NTASR as part of the Smith County hoarding case, where 38 dogs were rescued from unimaginable conditions. When she arrived, her body showed signs of the life she had endured—but her heart? Her heart was still full of love.
Now safe, Mimi is learning what every dog deserves to know: that soft beds are forever, meals come regularly, and there are people who will love her simply because she exists.
This sweet little Mini Aussie is estimated to be around 11 years young, though her exact age is a mystery. Regardless of the number, Mimi is a senior girl who knows exactly what she wants out of life: her people, a cozy spot to nap, and a peaceful place to call home.
Mimi is the definition of a gentle companion. She loves being near her humans and will happily follow them around the house with her tail wagging. Whether she’s curled up in her crate, relaxing on the rug, or claiming a spot on the couch, she’s happiest just being part of the family.
And don’t let her love of naps fool you—Mimi still gets excited! She lights up when her people come home and is always ready to greet new friends with a happy tail and a curious little hello.
She’s wonderfully easygoing with other dogs, completely unbothered by her two canine foster brothers, and has a calm, steady personality. She’s also very food motivated, which makes helping her learn and build confidence even more fun.
Mimi is continuing to work on her potty training and leash skills, and she’s making progress every day. Her skin and coat are healing beautifully, and with good nutrition, care, and love, she’s getting healthier and happier by the day.
Her little gray face may tell the story of where she’s been, but her wagging tail tells the story of where she is now.
Mimi isn’t looking for a life full of adventure.
She’s looking for a life full of comfort.
A warm bed.
A loving family.
A few naps in the sunshine.
And someone who understands that senior dogs don’t need to be perfect—they just need someone willing to love them for all the years they have left.Mimi is ready for her soft landing. 🐾
