Meet Monty ☀️
Chill. Snuggly. Snack-obsessed. Sun-powered.
 
Monty has really come out of his shell, and we love to see it.
This 48-pound goofy guy has discovered that life is pretty great when it includes daily walks, a comfy couch, good chew toys, and a human who understands that sometimes you simply must stop everything for a belly rub.
 
Monty LOVES his walks and will absolutely let you know when it's time for his evening constitutional. He's also a backyard lizard hunter, occasional cricket enthusiast, and professional sunbather. If there's a warm patch of grass or a sunbeam coming through the window, Monty will find it.
 
He is also fully vetted, potty trained, housetrained, and walks beautifully on leash. He's great with other dogs and absolutely loves having a canine buddy around. His foster sister Maggie is basically his bestie, and he loves following her around, playing, and settling in for a good cuddle.
 
Monty can be a little shy with new people, but give him some time and a calm introduction and he'll warm right up. Once you're in his circle, he's affectionate, loyal, and very happy to be your guy.
 
He's got a goofy, quirky side, too. He's a serious power chewer, has a healthy appreciation for snacks, and occasionally gets a little too excited and forgets that humans aren't actually chew toys. We're working on that. 😂 He knows sit, leave it, and wait and is very motivated to keep learning.
 
He's not looking for a marathon-running family or a life of nonstop chaos. Monty is happiest with good walks, sunshine, soft places to land, a dog friend, and people he can trust.
 
And after finishing his heartworm treatment, this boy is finally ready to put that chapter behind him.
 
Sunshine by day. Snuggles by night. Snacks whenever possible.
