Meet Pepper 🌶️
Some dogs go through unimaginable things and somehow still choose kindness. Pepper is one of those dogs.
Pepper came to NTASR from the Smith County hoarding case (38 dogs in one home, covered in unimaginable filth), and while we'll never know everything she's experienced, we do know she's ready for a much brighter chapter. Estimated to be around 4-6 years old and weighing 19 pounds, this little Toy Aussie mix has spent just a week in foster care and is already blossoming.
With good food, a clean bed, and lots of love, Pepper's skin is healing, her body is relaxing, and her sweet personality is shining through. She's a gentle, quiet girl who can be a little shy at first, but give her a little patience and she'll happily accept belly rubs, cuddles, and—most importantly—cheese.
Pepper gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids, making her an easy addition to almost any home. These days, her dream life is pretty simple: a soft place to sleep, people who love her, and a steady supply of snacks.
After everything she's been through, Pepper isn't asking for much. Just a family to call her own and a chance to finally be someone's beloved pet instead of just another dog in the crowd. ❤️
