This handsome 2-year-old Australian Shepherd is a smart, affectionate, high-energy boy who is ready to find his forever home! Like many Aussies, he has plenty of energy and loves staying active — but the best part? He is incredibly quick to learn. He’s very food motivated, eager to please, and already working on commands like “sit,” “lay,” and settling calmly in the home. He thrives with structure and positive reinforcement and truly enjoys training sessions. He absolutely loves people and wants to be near his humans. He’ll happily follow you from room to room and soak up affection whenever he can. He also loves a good chew toy and will entertain himself appropriately with the right enrichment. He gets along well with other dogs and has shown he can coexist happily. On leash, he can become excited when he sees other dogs and may bark or fixate. This is something he’s actively working on, and he continues to make progress with consistency and guidance. He would do best with an adopter willing to continue helping him build confidence and leash skills. He has been around cats and generally does well. He does not chase them unless they run, and otherwise mostly prefers to focus on his people. With proper introductions and supervision, he could potentially live in a home with a dog-savvy cat. He is potty trained and currently working on crate training. He will go into his crate and settle when given a moment of reassurance before you leave. If you leave immediately, he may bark at first — he bonds closely with his people and just needs a little help learning that alone time is safe. With patience and routine, he continues to improve.
