Meet Sherlock 🤍
 
Of the three, Sherlock is the one who took one look at the world and said:
 
“Okay, what are we doing? I’m ready.” 😂
 
Born in May 2026, Sherlock came to NTASR with his siblings, Irene and Watson after the three were the result of backyard breeding. All three are double merle Aussies, meaning they inherited the merle gene from both parents. While Sherlock was incredibly lucky to be born with fully intact hearing and vision, double merle puppies can be born with significant hearing and vision impairments and are far too often abandoned or discarded because of it.
 
We weren't going to let that happen to any of them.
Sherlock is your quintessential Aussie puppy. Smart, confident, curious, adventurous, and ready to be involved in absolutely everything.
 
He loves people, loves attention, loves his toys, and loves having other dogs around. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes, although he operates under the very Aussie assumption that obviously everyone wants to play with him. 😂
 
He's also a quick study. Sherlock is already picking up on schedules and household expectations, which is exactly what you'd expect from a puppy with an Aussie brain working overtime.
 
He's great for puppy baths, enjoys exploring, and is ready for a family who wants to keep that smart little brain busy.
 
His future humans will need to be prepared to finish potty training, teach appropriate play, and work on the usual puppy things like redirecting those enthusiastic little teeth away from human hands. He'll also need continued basic obedience and plenty of positive training and enrichment.
 
In other words, Sherlock isn't looking for someone who wants a dog that's already finished.
 
He's looking for someone who wants to raise one.
