Smokey Sam joins us as an owner surrender. He is a happy goofy dachshund who is anxious to find his forever home. He loves to play hide under other dogs and blankets. Smokey loves his people and is super snuggly. He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. He would be fine with a cat who has been around dogs before as he likes to boop them with his “beak”. Smokey is doing great in the kennel so far. He has been marking in the house but is happily wearing a belly band and we are confident the marking will diminish as soon as his neuter is done. He is a typical dachshund who is stubborn and mischievous. He will need a dachshund savvy adopter who is patient. Ideally, Smokey will do best in a home with a yard and a very secure fence as dachshunds are small and diggers. He would love some doggy siblings. We can’t wait to find this beautiful boy a forever home!
