Meet Starsky! 💙
 
If you're looking for a puppy whose life motto is "Why walk when you can bounce?" Starsky would like to introduce himself.
 
Starsky is a male double merle Australian Shepherd puppy born in March 2026 who currently weighs about 13 pounds and is still growing. He and his brother were found as strays under a porch in rural Central Texas. Given the circumstances surrounding their arrival and reports of other Aussie puppies recently being turned into the same shelter, we suspect these boys may have originated from a backyard breeding situation.
 
Starsky is always ready to investigate what's happening around him. New toy? He's on it. Friend looking for someone to wrestle with? Count him in. He loves to play, explore, and stay involved in whatever his people are doing. Because he's still a young puppy, he'll thrive with a family committed to training, socialization, and helping him grow into the best version of himself. He is DEAF so hand signals work best with him. 
 
An active home with another playful dog would be a huge bonus. Starsky enjoys having a canine buddy to romp around with and would love a family that can keep his mind and body busy with adventures, games, and enrichment.
 
When he's finally tired himself out, Starsky is happy to settle in for cuddles and enjoy some quality time with his people. He's currently wrapping up his vetting and will soon be ready to find a forever family of his very own.
